Check-in and Check-out at Chestnut Street Community Center: 611 Chestnut St

This year’s Unsheltered PIT Count will be based out of a new location and have extended times. The intention of this change is to capture a more accurate representation of the Lebanon unsheltered homeless population and provide an opportunity for volunteers to network with one another throughout the day.

What is a Point-in-Time Count?

A Point-in-Time (PiT) Count provides an estimate of homelessness in a community within a specified time period. It offers a snapshot of homelessness; and when conducted consistently, allows communities to measure their progress in reducing homelessness. PiT Counts are important because they establish the dimensions of the problem of homelessness and help policymakers and program administrators track progress towards the goal of ending homelessness and identify continuing areas of need.
