Youth Services: Testimonials
Dear Mr. Kuhn,
I just wanted to thank you for your presentation last week that you gave to the group of TSS at Philhaven. I just graduated from college in May and have been working as a TSS for Lebanon County since the summer. While the idea of community and family involvement being important is not new, I enjoyed your enthusiasm and the reminder that all of us can have a positive influence on the youth around us. As you talked, I had to smile to myself when you talked about the way Lebanon County supports local students. I graduated from Annville-Cleona and I was one of the students who went to the Mentor Banquet and was also a Kiwanis scholar/athlete award honoree. I certainly have been blessed by the organizations in Lebanon County which strive to encourage and challenge capable students. Thank you for the investment you made in my life and the wonderful influence you continue to have in many other young peoples' lives.
Sincerely,
Natalie Wenger
The Under 20 Festival was a rare and wonderful opportunity for our local high school students to experience a sense of community. My students and I organized an art exhibit that not only established a forum for young talent and vision, it provided an audience of peers, professional artists, professors, and enthusiastic on-lookers. Thanks to the support of the Community Health Council and its volunteers, we have established a county tradition meant to celebrate the spirit and vivacity of young adults, and since I happen to like teenagers very much, it was a thrill for me to participate.
